We stopped in to this small, almost hidden space in the corner of a strip mall on a hot, summer day and were so glad we did. Like everyone else on earth, we love craft beer and we usually bring beer with us when we are in Mammoth from SoCal breweries that we love.

​We won't need to do that anymore because these people really know how to do hops. This place is what every mircrobrewery should strive to be-- courageous with their brews. Because of that, their beers are all super-flavorful and unique. Its a tiny place, and lacks the impressive location that Mammoth Brewing enjoys, but the superior beer is worth the stop.

They welcome you to bring in your own food, and several local eateries are happy to deliver, there, too. Check the bulletin board for eateries or ask the staff-- they're awesome, too. Our close favorites is Salsas, which you can read about here. 

Its fun to try their taster flight, and then grab some to enjoy back at Sonenalp. They sell crowlers (cans to order) and howlers (half growlers) so that's an option if you feel like heading home to enjoy your brew. If you're staying at Sonenalp, check your kitchen for a growler so you can save some money and just get it filled. We try to keep a growler and howler in the units to guests to use during their stay.

Like most of Mammoth, Black Doubt is dog-friendly, but the inside space is very small so keep that in mind if you bring your paw-baby. There is a tiny outdoor sidewalk space, too.
