Tag Along Trips for Anglers & their People
Maybe you've always dreamed of trying your hand at fly fishing but don't have a whole day to play. Or maybe you're an old pro, but don't want to kick your family and friends to the curb while you go. We've worked with our friend and fly guide, Mike, to put together a couple of special trips to keep the family happy while you get some time on the water. (For traditional, angler-only trips, scroll down.)
For family and group trips, please note that due to CA DFW restrictions, only those with a valid fishing license (the 'anglers') can use (or even touch!) the fishing gear. Other participants will only be able to observe and enjoy.
We are happy to arrange a picnic from a local gourmet food store and have our guide bring it on the day of your trip. If you prefer to organize your picnic on your own, that's great, too!

About the guide ....
Besides the fact that he's an east coaster, like all the cool kids. we love working with Mike because he was the first guide to ignite a passion for fly fishing in my son, Jonah. When Jo was only 12, he asked for a guided fly-fishing trip for his birthday. And as fate would have it, Mike was the guide we hired. And ever since that May day, Jonah has been 'hooked.' Mike has guided Jonah on other trips since, and we've also seen Mike work with large groups of kids at a fishing camp that Jonah participates in each year. So it was only natural that when we were looking for community partners to guide big family groups, Mike would be our first choice.
Born and raised in the Green Mountains of Vermont, Mike's passion for fly fishing started the first time he cast a dry fly to an eager native brook trout. From there he began chasing trout, salmon, bass, northern pike and any species that would take a fly from Vermont to Maine. Mike moved to California in 2004, and has spent his time extensively fishing and exploring the waters of the Eastern Sierra. Since completing the Clearwater Guide School in May 2014, he has been guiding the local waters and sharing his passion and knowledge with anglers of all levels. |
