SAFETY
  • Mountainside Mammoth is protected by 24/7 cloud-hosted surveillance.
  • Mountainside is a non-smoking, no party community.
  • In an emergency, dial 911. The service address is 413 Rainbow Lane #2, Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546

TRASH &
​BEAR AVOIDANCE
  • Dispose of all trash INSIDE the dumpster.
  • LOCK the dumpster lid using the carabiner on the left top of the dumpster.
  • Do not leave the dumspter open or unlocked.
  • Do not feed the bears. Learn more about bear safety here.
  • Do not leave trash or food outside, in an open garage, or in your car (even if locked).

PARKING
  • 2 cars max per townhome may be parked in the garage.
  • 2 cars max may be parked ONLY in front of the garage and must be marked with a parking pass. No parking allowed in any other areas.
  • If asked by Mountainside HOA to move your car for snow removal or any reason, please comply.
  • Daytime parking is available on Rainbow, Lakeview, and in the Canyon parking area. Please read signs carefully. Town will issue parking tickets.

​ESSENTIALS
  • The Village at Mammoth, accessible by foot, car, shuttle, or gondola, has a few great restaurants.
  • There are many local favorites in town, and the Mountain operates eateries at the Lodges, Village, and across the mountain.

  • ​There are two breweries in town, and even more if you drive to June Lake or Bishop.

  • There are plenty of ​java joints in Mammoth, including quirky, swanky, and national chains.
  • For local delish, try Looney Bean. Need somewhere to work, we like Black Velvet or the big Starbucks on Main St.

  • ​Mammoth's grocery selection is a little ... limited. There's Grocery Outlet and Vons. 
  • If Aldi and Trader Joes had a baby, it would be Grocery Outlet.
  • Vons offers online shopping, and we can pick up your order for you and pre-stock your fridge.

SKI LOCKERS
  • Ski lockers are available at Canyon Lodge, Main Lodge, and Eagle Lodge. More info about locker rentals here.

GEAR RENTALS
  • Canyon Lodge is convenient for gear rentals, but they can be busy during high season.
  • Black Tie Rentals will deliver to the Townhome.
  • Other great options: Footloose, Green Room, Kittredge.

GONDOLA
  • Stroll up to Canyon to catch the the free Village Gondola with service between the Village and Canyon (seasonal and only during mountain operating hours)

SKI BACK TRAIL
  • You can also get to the Village in winter via the Ski Back Trail from Chair 4 (Roller Coaster Express)
  • Trail has Green Circle rating and a fun way to get to the village when weather and snow conditions permit

SNOW PLAY
  • The hill behind Mountainside is perfect for protected snow play and Mountainside is also convenient to Canyon area for after-hours fun.
  • We are no longer able to provide sleds, but you can find them at DIY, Rite-Aid, Vons, and sometimes the local retail stores. You can also sometimes find them abandoned by area guests.

POOLS
  • Mammoth has a few swimming options, some year around.
  • Check out the outdoor public pool at Whitmore.
  • There is a private pool at ​Snow Creek athletic club.

  • The Eastern Sierra is known for its natural hot springs including Wild Willies and the Crab Cooker.
  • There are also several hot tubs at Snow Creek Athletic Club.
  • This townhome has a private hot tub.

  • Snow Creek Athletic Club offers weekly and daily passes.
  • We also have many salons and spas in town, though they tend to be very busy. Be sure to plan and schedule your appointment well in advance during high season.

HIKING
  • There's no end to the hiking possibilities, from quick jaunts with the kids or dogs, day hikes, even multi-day slogs.
  • Our weather means that trails can be unpredictable. There are some great apps for current conditions, trail ratings, and maps.

OUTDOOR FUN
  • Mammoth isn't just for skiing! It is also home to countless year around activities including: horseback riding, hiking, biking, fishing, and photography, and more. Read about it here.

INDOOR FUN
  • Mammoth isn't just for outdoors, either! If weather gets in your way, or you're looking for something to do indoors, there's plenty to choose from.
  • Bowling, arcades, axe throwing, ice skating, yoga, shopping or whatever floats your boat, read about it here.

BIKING
  • Mammoth Mountain is home to some rad mountain biking terrain and some even radder (is that a thing?) retail and bike rental shops.
  • Mammoth also hosts some road and mountain bike competitions.

  • Fly fishing or regular, the Easter Sierra has something for you, in nearly all seasons. Learn more here.
  • There's also plenty of boating, sailing, canoeing, kayaking -- which you can rent through one of our local marinas.

BABY GEAR RENTALS
  • Mammoth Baby rents baby gear directly through www.mammothbaby.com or via the nationally known baby gear rental marketplace, Babyquip.
  • They provide strollers, high chairs, baby carriers and backpacks, toys, cribs, etc.

  • Mammoth is very pet friendly, but only service animals are allowed inside many stores and restaurants.
  • Pets must be leashed at all time in town and muzzled on public transport.

  • A car is not required in and around Mammoth but is convenient
  • There is airport transportation available.

  • The town of Mammoth Lakes restricts street parking year around, particularly overnight and will ticket cars if parked illegally.
