One of the best benefits of our rentals is location: close to the mountain, on a very well-maintained road (you'll appreciate this on snowy days) and conveniently located very close to Mammoth's year around Trolley system stops. Although most of our guests bring at least one car and park it in a secure garage, some guests opt to use Mammoth's convenient, free, public transport system to get around town. This is especially a good idea in winter, when roads can be treacherous and parking in town can be difficult due to snow. But in summer, the Trolley is a good option too! In fact, my kids use it all the time. Todd and I use it to get home from the Village, because-- let's get real here-- walking downhill is a lot more pleasant than walking back up. The year-around transportation is system of trolleys and buses that run throughout town, between local communities and up and down the 395. To explore the complete Sierra Transit site, click here. The easiest way to navigate the transit system is by using the Town of Mammoth's real-time transportation app, 'transit.' I know, who wants yet another app on their phone, right? But 'transit' really is worth the download. You can link directly to the 'transit' app site here. Below is the 2023 Winter Transit Map. Transit Notes:
