Thanksgiving in Mammoth

What a relief to be able to say that many of our favorite Mammoth Lakes holiday activities are back on for 2021~

The Turkey Trot, Tree Lighting, Ice Skate opener are all happening, and Mammoth Mountain operations are (almost) back to normal.

Turkey Trot

​Start your Thanksgiving morning out right with a two mile run family-friendly fun run through the Trails community. Costumes and fun are encouraged.

Registrants will receive a commemorative technical long-sleeve shirt before the race, and a medal and cider/hot cocoa after the race. Top finishers will receive a pumpkin cheesecake to add to your late day Thanksgiving feast.

Ice Rink Opener

Join the locals at our community rink, owned and operated by our Parks & Rec and local school district. 

Strap on some skates to celebrate the opening of the 2021/22 season at the Mammoth Ice Rink on Friday, November 26 (weather dependent).

FREE admission and skate rentals (subject to availability) following the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony!

Tree Lighting

The Village at Mammoth and Town of Mammoth Lakes present a kickoff to the holidays with free fun for the whole family. Join Woolly and Santa for photos, kids activities and live music outdoors before the magical first lighting of The Village holiday tree.

Mountain Ops 2021

Covid, schmovid. Yep, no matter how tired we are of hearing about it, MM operations are still impacted by the need to follow local restrictions and to keep our community safe.
Quick Skinny:

• Reservations not required for 2021.
• Masks required indoors.
• Respect employees, especially regarding Covid regulations.
• Proof of vax not required.
