​Hiking and Backpacking
Mammoth Lakes boasts an extensive network of hiking trails that cater to all levels of hikers, from leisurely strolls to challenging backcountry treks. Some popular trails include:
  1. Devils Postpile National Monument: A unique geological wonder, this destination offers both day hikes and longer backpacking trips. Don't miss the opportunity to explore the iconic hexagonal basalt columns.
